Udayant Malhoutra has served as the CEO and Managing Director of Dynamatic Technologies for over forty years, leading the transformation of the company into a knowledge-driven enterprise. He also chairs Eisenwerk Erla GmbH in Germany and Dynamatic Limited in the UK-both wholly owned subsidiaries of Dynamatic Technologies. Under his leadership, the company has evolved from a manufacturer of hydraulic gear pumps into a diversified enterprise spanning Automotive, Aerospace & Defence, Security & Surveillance, Drone and Autonomous Technologies, Biotechnology, and NABL-accredited laboratories. Through strategic diversification and acquisitions, he has significantly expanded the company’s footprint and capabilities over the past four decades.
Udayant Malhoutra has played a key role in collaborating with the Government of Karnataka to conceptualise and develop the KIADB Aerospace Park, successfully attracting major global OEMs and strategic suppliers during its early stages.

He is the Chairman of the Aerospace Defense Hi-Tech Industries Association of Devanahalli (ADHIAD), an organisation representing all industries located within the KIADB Industrial Park.

Bangalore the capital of India's southern Karnataka state, came third in fDi's 2020/21 ranking, up from fourth place in the previous study. An estimated total of more than 7000 aerospace FDI jobs were created in the city between 2015 and 2019, the highest out of all locations analysed. Notable investors include UK-based Rolls-Royce Holdings and Liebherr Aerospace, part of Switzerland-based Liebherr. In September 2018 , US based multinational Boeing announced plans to set up a $156m electronic manufacturing and avionic assembly facility in its Bangalore tech hub, creating 2600 jobs.
He has also actively supported the Government of Tamil Nadu’s initiative to establish the Southern Defence Corridor in Sulur, Coimbatore, notably by contributing a substantial land parcel of 360 acres to TIDCO.

Over the last thirty years, he has led numerous public-private-partnership (PPP) initiatives-beginning with DRDO and HAL-and is currently engaged as an exclusive partner with L&T and BEL in advancing India’s fifth-generation fighter aircraft program. His efforts consistently aim to generate shared value for all stakeholders, championing the vision of “Better For India Together” and the Atmanirbhar Bharat movement.
He is a member of CII National Council and Chairs the CII National Committee on Design. He has also served on the Board of Governors, IIT Kanpur, besides being the past Chairman of the National Sector Skills Council for Strategic Manufacturing.

He has been conferred the degree of Doctor of Engineering & Technology (Honoris Causa) from University of Engineering and Management, Kolkata, in recognition of his outstanding contribution in the field of Technology & Innovation and his dedicated service to the nation.

Strategic Vision: He champions the idea of 'Design from Handicraft to Spacecraft,' emphasizing the critical link between traditional Indian craft and modern, high- technology design, aligning design with the nation's economic and defence goals.

NID Amaravati: He was instrumental in establishing the National Institute of Design (NID) at Amaravati (Andhra Pradesh), significantly expanding the country's premier design education infrastructure.
